That OAL is a no go.  You need a heavy buffer, and a Carbine .308 spring, if that doesnt work, add a hd disconnecter spring.  What trigger are you using?

Going to turn it down a bit this week, will shoot for 3.75" OAL. Also found I had a spare disco spring, so I swapped that out - hard to tell for sure, but it does seem stiffer than the one that was in there. Maybe the one I was using was a bad spring? Who knows.

Entire FCG, including trigger, is stock DPMS.

ETA - I've started a new thread here to continue discussion of my running issues, as they're beginning to get a bit off-subject for this particular thread.

Paul did i read your note a couple months back to say you ordered/tried a blitzkrieg hydraulic?

Ordered a 16" ultralight barrel today.  The feedback on running wolf/tula swayed me from the JP.

We did a bunch of testing of hydraulic buffers initially about 3 years ago and found they would burst seals.  I personally did not see the benefit over buffers with reciprocating mass, as those have been proven (under high speed camera), to help resolve some issues associated with blow back carbines.

The best combo I have found is a .308 carbine flat wire spring with a 8oz buffer with reciprocating tungsten weights, assuming the buffer is not more than 3.8" long.

There are a bunch of pro and semi pro shooters using our stuff and they all are running the JP Captured spring and love it.

My go to ammo is tula and wolf as I am cheap, I have never had a problem with it to date.
