Now here's the thing: my buffer (which I turned myself) is ~3.95" OAL at the moment. I did try going with a regular 9mm buffer (the short ones that are ~5.3 oz or whatever), but the issue remained. But maybe the problem is that I need something heavier than that, but also not as long as my custom one. Sounds like maybe I should try turning it down a little more, and maybe beef up the disco spring for good measure. |

I'd have to respectfully disagree with the notion that a heavier spring helps with feeding......it may overcome a flaw in the gun.....and in doing so result in a damaged projectile or bullet setback, I've never had an issue getting one of our barrels to feed with a standard spring.....and it has been my experience that heavier spring increase bot forward velocity..... and can increase the tendency for bolt bounce if you have a barrel chambered deep enough for it to have the bolt hit the breech when chambering a round.

Paul did i read your note a couple months back to say you ordered/tried a blitzkrieg hydraulic?
Ordered a 16" ultralight barrel today. The feedback on running wolf/tula swayed me from the JP. |
