I've never understood the fascination with a .22 magnum. The rounds are nearly as much as 5.56 with less ballistic value.

I really like the concept and design. However, i too find the cost of WMR to be hard to swallow. I guess, once you've learned the weapon it wouldn't be to expensive to use as a HD gun with occasional training.

Anecdotally, a .22 magnum will kill a deer DRT. Comparative ballistics aside, a few WMRs would be plenty effective against most 2 legged threats.

For me.....I just really like the looks and idea of the little carbine.....it just so happens that it is chambered for the .22 magnum.

The reason I want one is because it is probably as close as I'll ever get to owning my suppressed and SBR'd HK MP7 in .22lr that I have been lusting for, but nobody will make.
