Has anyone had a barrel liner installed by American Manufacturing.  They list the cost at about $65 and I was considering this to tighten up the groups in my dedicated .22lr upper.  Right now its a .223 with 1x14 twist rate.  Think this might be a reasonable cost solution in making it 1x16 and .221 dia.  Anyone done this and what were your results?

I bought a relined barrel from American Manufacturing some years back and it worked really great. I didn't have a barrel to send so Mike at American Manufacturing used some demilled barrels to make me up a nice carbine length dedicated setup. I have to ask you something about the barrel you have -- is it actually a 1/14 twist or a 1/12 twist?

It is in fact a 1 in 14 twist.  I believe, but not sure, it is an early Colt barrel.  The upper I bought it on is colt.  It is not chrome lined.  I suppose it is possibly a later Oly barrel that was mated to the colt upper.  It is reasonably accurate with softer lead rounds, but the copper clad bullets not so good.  I'm thinking the softer lead is expanding enough to fully engage the rifling.
