Is there a reason that I might have cycling problems if I cut my barrel too short?  Is there such a thing as too short?  I want to cut my bbl to 5" or so; so it will 11.5" or less with the can screwed on.

If its pistol caliber, the length of the barrel won't have anything to do with cycling problems b/c it doesn't use the gas system.

I have made 9mm barrels as short as 3.5 inches. The gun in the picture has a 3.5 inch barrel threaded 1/2X32, covered by a Knights free float hand guard and uses a knight MP5 Navy suppressor. The customer who ordered it from us says it runs great and functions and accuracy is excellent.
