Very nice! Which version of the scope from PA are you using?
Also, how are you attaching the sling to the front of the gun?

Getting excited looking thru these photos, I’ve got every here or ordered except a barrel and sling, no recent luck in the EE so I may order one from Windham to finish it out

Changed out the 10.3” for a 11.5”.  I like the commando’ish look more I think.

This is a stand in for an eventual FN M16A2 clone. It's a complete FN / Anchor Harvey upper receiver on my FN M16A4 clone lower, so all FN parts including the stock and pistol grip, except for the lower receiver itself (which has Colt internals). I wanted to see how it will all look once I get the A2 lower put together. I'm cloning a late FN A2 in the 7451XXX serial number range, so the lower forging is the correct style based on photos posted by another member here last year. So from this side, it would look the same anyway!

Two contributions to follow. Posted these in a few other threads, but I guess they really belong here...

First up is my "Clone-ish M16A2" built behind enemy lines (bayo lugs + barrel threads + A2 flash hiders = so evil we should give him the chair). The M4 ramps and OD furniture, while not clone correct, warm my heart.

- Recent production (2007) Colt 6520 receiver with M4 feedramps ["C" / Cerro Forge (keyhole) marked].

- 2019 Colt M16A4 barrel - Same profile as an A2, but with M4 ramps ("C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7" marked).

- Colt BCG ("C" marked carrier / "MPC" marked bolt) and Colt Charging Handle.

- Armalite clamp on FSB and pin/weld PWS FSC556.

- Armalite M15A2 furniture in OD green (perfect match to Magpul OD).

- PSA M16A2 clone lower.

- Standard cotton web sling (OD).

Next is my A2/A1 hybrid experiment. Wanted something unique, so threw this "Franky" together. Great balance with the heavy Larue barrel underneath.

- 1990's Colt Sporter "big hole" upper with offset bushing and M4 feedramps ("C M" marked).

- 14.5" Larue Stealth barrel in .223 Wylde (1/8 twist) with M4 feedramps and midlength gas system.

- Colt BCG ("C" marked carrier / "MPC" marked bolt) and Colt Charging Handle (lucked out and snagged an older gray one that is perfect match to the upper).

- Armalite clamp on FSB and pin/weld PWS FSC556.

- Surplus A1 furniture, to include some cut-to-fit midlength hanguards with a custom "fatboy" triangle endcap.

- PSA PA-15 lower.

- Standard cotton web sling (black).

Love them both. Glad I finally took the plunge with a 20" A2 build. Can't wait to revert back to the good old loop sling support and relive some memories from the Isle of Parris. When every rifle you own starts to looks like something out of Buck Rogers or Star Wars, you know that it's time to get back to the basics.

New life for an old match rifle...

Attachment Attached File

I've shot CMP Service Rifle and NRA Highpower for a number of years now.  Finally switched to a scope last year, so my old A2 match uppers aren't getting much love anymore.

This one started out as a Rock River NM.  It was my practice rifle... untold thousands of rounds through the barrel, all at 100 and 200 yds, mostly 53 gr HP's.

Stripped off the old barrel and float tube... replaced with the Windham gov't profile 1:7 kit.  Lower is an Anderson with a bunch of random parts from the spares bin, and a Geissele G2S trigger.  The upper still has its 1/4x1/4 match rear sight, not sure what I'm gonna do with that yet.

Enjoy!

Just picked up from FFL. RRA Plain-Jane A2 HBAR. Wonder who makes RRA's mags? The style looks familiar but I can't place it.

Almost there.  No-fence 80 is milled and blasted, just need to hit it with molyresin (weather may not cooperate tomororw) and then reassemble.  But the Windham barrel arrived today so the upper's finally all together and ready to go.

My A2 started off a stripped A2 upper and a Anderson lower. I saw in a post that PSA has a retro A2 lower so I swapped that out and used that. The barrel is a Windham 1x7 A2 and the parts are a combination of parts bin and Brownells. The trigger is G.I. but was polished by me and using a JP spring kit its a nice smooth 4lbs. Low this rifle as its the one I had in Bootcamp and the fleet when I wasn't humping around a SAW.
