One early and gray, the other late and black. I was actually chatting with m1sniper earlier and realized that my DPMS lower wasn't getting any use, so I took the 604 upper off my .22 carbine and pulled this thing together. The .22 had to come down anyway, as I can't thread a flash hider onto the barrel. Check out my bling port door.
 It's an A1 that's so worn it's shiney! I really like both of these rifles. Too late for outside pictures, so hopefully the end of the week. Dig it!

You can get a thread die and chase the barrel threads in about 10 minutes.

There is one thing I haven't done any research yet, slings. What's with the one sling tan and the other green? Nice builds too!

Thanks for the info on the die. I think I'll order one. Anything special I need to know about 'chasing' it? Just run the die over the threads to clean them up?
GUTS, not sure about the slings. I think the brown one is correct for later VN stuff, while the green one is maybe a later Garand sling? Dunno. The green one is like the sling on my M1 Garand, so who knows. Maybe someone else can elaborate on that. It was overcast today, so no good pictures outside.  The weather just hasn't been my friend lately!
