Need some advice.

I have an AR Pistol 5.56 with a 10.3" barrel.  I love the gun but it is LOUD even with a cheap KAK flashcan.   I was looking a linear compensator muzzle device for noise deflection.  I keep going back to the Witt Machine SME.  The specs and some of the videos that I have watched make it look good.

Has anyone here used one on their pistol or rifle?  I know it isn't a suppressor.  I'm trying to push as much of the noise forward.  Any first hand knowledge would be great.  Thanks

IMO, ANY COMP WILL MAKE IT LOUDER. A BFD IS BEST BET.

Pretty sure it means Blast Forward Deflector?  aka Linear Compensator, which I believe the Witt Machine SME is.  I've been trying to find real world data performance too.

I was looking at making a purchase from Witt, I found a lot of bad customer service and machining issues on the internet.  Reached out to Witt to inquire about their product and was less then impressed with their reply.   I am staying away from that company.

The only linear comp I’ve used was a Kaw Valley Precision and worked well for its intended purpose. Also much cheaper than the SME.

I would personally be very hesitant to purchase the SME, as it looks suspiciously like a monocore suppressor, just with an extended tube. Maybe have someone else buy it, ship to their address and then you can reimburse them. That way if the BATFE “Wish.com Solvent Trap Division” decides to investigate it won’t be your dog that gets ventilated.

Try wearing hearing protection.

Plugs and muffs.
