I have a BCM lightweight barrel in 11.5 and like it fine.
I'm helping a friend put together an AR and I'd like to find him a lightweight CHF barrel though in the 11-12" range.
I'm seeing typically one (CHF) or the other (lightweight) in barrels but not both.

Any recommendations / leads on barrels that offer both of those features?

Thanks!

In the grand scheme of things, it's not gonna make a noticeable difference. Pick the weight you want and be done with it.

not hammer forged, but criterion barrels.

^^^This.
Pick a reputable brand in your price range and go shoot it.

Don’t worry about CHF. I own plenty of both...there is a 95% chance you will never know the difference.

I’d go Sionics 11.5” reduced port.

If an option I’d get a 12” barrel so I could run a vfg

I have builds using both of the barrels above.  They are accurate and being mid-length gas systems, are both soft shooters.  I highly recommend both to you depending on what length tickles your fancy.
