I'm cutting a barrel down to 11" for my pistol, is it worth cutting a shoulder and threading it for a flashhider, or does the flashhider make that much diffenrence with the shorter barrels.  I could  just let it be a flamethrower too.

I have a 7.5" barrel and the vortex helps alot with the flash.  the novorske(spelling?) flashider helps too and with some of the concusion.

Although I like to shoot it without anything on it the cocusion and flash are fun

For short barrel .223 guns a Noveske Krink brake is a life saver. Without the brake my 7.5 inch is just not usable (too damn loud). But with the brake it sounds just like a 16inch barrel or better.
