Finally finished my Grendel build today...
Mega lower Mega upper and rail kit Ballistic Advantage 18" barrel Magpul gen 2 UBR Nikon FX1000 4-16x50 Cerakote in a darker burnt bronze

Took the new build past 100 for the first time 2 weeks ago. First shot was a cold bore hit at 640 yards. I like this cartridge.
Working on a load for it right now. 18” aero barrel. 28.4 gr of imr 8208 under a 123 eldm is 2520 fps. 31.6 of CFE223 under a 130 eldm is 2450 fps. Trying to figure out which to go with. No primer or brass pressure signs on either, which was surprising given the velocity.

Quickly displaced my Kreiger barreled 223, which is still my fav overall AR - but for the night game, shooting coyotes at unknown distances, this thing is really perfect for me. I’ve been really impressed with it. Banged steel at 700 yds about as easy as a sub mom 308 gas gun I was shooting that day as well.
Geissele National Match trigger, hadn’t broken in the barrel when I snapped a few pics of some groups - this may not have been the best group, but one of the only few pics I’ve got.  Attached File Attached File |

Got out and shot some 10 shot groups today to verify my handload is accurate in my 18” Aero Precision barrel.
Load is: 130 eldm, hornady case, 26.8 grains imr 8208xbr, cci SRM, 2.26” coal. 2x10, hovering barely over an inch. I’d say that’s pretty good. 
It does 5 shots at .8” consistently with this load. Also got out to test the federal berger ammo, and that shot sub moa for sure, with one 5 shot group in the box at .45”. Overall thrilled with the rifle now that I know what it likes.  Attached FileBudget Grendel. BCA 16in M-Lok upper Magpul stock Truglow 1-6x using the .308 168gr elevation knob. (Seems to do good for my needs. I have not taken it past 100yd yet). It will be my deer gun for next season. SSA-E trigger (not budget) BAD Lever Strike Industries Phantom charging handle rattle canned the the FF tube and ghosted in the 6.5 Grendel stencil.
