I know there isn't a lot of pics out there of competed PA-10s. I just completed my build and am willing to answer questions that have plagued us all.  I have yet to shoot it so hopefully I don't have the chambering issues as some. I also don't know how to upload pictures on this forum from my phone so here is the link from my Calguns upload

I'd sure like to hear more about what works/doesn't work.  I have a PTAC lower on hand and a PA10 upper and palmetto PA10 lower build kit that haven't arrived yet.

What format is the PA10 upper?  When I ordered it, I had no clue that there are different styles with different barrels, mags, buffers, etc.  Holy crap talk about confusing.  I read through the FAQ's, but they cover rifles, talk about  uppers and lowers, but say little about compatibility and what parts are what style,   I started shopping around for barrels and quickly realized this is a lot more involved than the AR15's I've built.  I suddenly feel pretty stupid.

Any info you can provide would be great since PA doesn't really say much about their PA10 uppers and lowers.

The PA-10 is a DMPS pattern system. You are on the correct path though. With 308 AR's you need to stick to the same company for the upper and lower.
Buy some Magpul PMAG's (LR/SR Gen 3 7.62x51) and away you go. I like the 10 round mags for range use (lower profile works well for me). Any other magazine for the DPMS will work (AIM has some nice IMI 20 round magazines)

For my PSA build, I went with a Rainier Match 308 DPMS pattern, they also sell a "Match" BCG to go with it now.

Thanks for the info.  I was looking at the Rainier Select 18" if it was a DPMS pattern.

What pistol grip did you use?  Did the beavertail fit?

I used a magpul moe+ grip. It fit like a glove but had the ugly gap on the beavertail. I used egro grip spacer for it. It looks better with it on there but not completley flushed.

Also if anyone is wonder.

for a PRS stock you can use the DPMS rifle tube, DPMS 308 rifle length buffer and 308 rifle length buffer spring.

Battle-arms saftey works with PA-10

KNS pins work

I used a ALG Defense ACT trigger. It fits.

Weapon function check was good.

Hopefully I can get it out to the range soon and get back with accuracy and anything else that comes up.

Do you have any contact between the back of the bolt catch release lever and the upper receiver?
Mine touches just slightly, enough to leave a small scratch.  I should have filed some material off the lever before I punched in the roll pin.

How long is the buffer and how many coils in your spring?   I had a supplier send me the wrong buffer and hope the new one they are sending is correct!

My bolt catch does have contact with the upper receiver. I am going to file it down hopefully this weekend. Also I got the rifle length tube, buffer, and spring all from DPMS website.

This is the spring I used. It states it is 39 coils.

If it will cycle rounds your way ahead of the one I just sent back to psa. PPU 145 and federal wouldn't go into battery on mine. Will you post a range report after you try it out?

My 16" stainless will not seat a round or lock back. And also has every other problem people have listed on here. Contacted through Email Saturday. Still no response. Not sure how to attach images on this site.

I'm wondering if this is only happening to people with the 16" barrel?

Mine was an 18" stainless with the mi rail. I believe my chamber issues to have been due to a reamer out of spec.

PSA don't answer emails.  I sent one about my upper 5 days ago.  Nothing.

You have to call them.

When you call you'll get a fast busy signal.  Keep trying.

Eventually you'll get recorded music.

Listen to recorded music for 15-30 minutes or more.

Get disconnected.

Try again.

It may take you several days before you finally get someone on the phone.

I did IM you (or whoever was on the Palmetto account) on 1/5.  Re order #2100982772

I got the following IM response back on 1/6

"The upper came back to our manufacturing department on December 19th, but no one has given me an update as of yet. I'll contact the repair specialist once he gets back."

Never heard anything else.

Never got any answer to an email i sent to customer service close to a week ago either.

Listened to the music 30 minutes yesterday and finally someone picked and said they had no eta when the upper i returned 12/13 would be repaired and agreed to issue a refund.  A waste of close to 50 days since i originally placed my order.

You guys really need to get your act together.

This from a long time hometown customer who has spent thousands at your store (mostly on ammo) over the last few years.

Have you guys looked at the comments you're getting on google reviews lately?

Here's some reviews from last week:

"Awful. I understand that there may be delays around holiday seasons. I expected that. Website said 5-10 days because of Christmas rush. 26 days later, still nothing. No response to emails and you cant get through on the phone. After holding for 27 minutes somebody finally picked up and said there was no reason my order shouldn't have shipped and they'll get it out immediately. 6 days later, still nothing. Furthermore, you can't cancel the order online, you must call to cancel. But..... nobody answers the phone. Ridiculous."

Another from a week ago

"Well I wish I had read reviews before buying from them, but I didn't. Placed my order 10 days ago, said product was in stock and I'll be notified when it ships. Well I was charged immediately and have not heard a peep back from them. Sent emails, no response. Called their service number and it is disconnected. Was close to filing a fraud report until I saw these reviews. Looks like the product eventually comes, but will take forever. Look elsewhere!"

More here just like these:

I have PSA lower. PSA upper en route. I don't have a bcg or barrel yet. Planning a ranier select barrel. Still shopping for a bcg. Ordered an ergo f93 stock/receiver extension. Also have a PSA pa10 lpk on the way. I'm out of funds for now so things are on hold.

What bolt did you have? when did you order it. Maybe we can zero in on a bad batch. I have the NiBCG. I ordered on 11/6/2014.

Finally took the pa-10 out to the range. Idk if I got lucky buying a earlier batch of pa-10 uppers with the nibcg or what. This thing shot flawlessly. Zeroed in at 100 yards. Shot a little over 1moa using walmart Turkish special stuff. Probably would be way better using quality stuff. I was hitting steel well over 500yards using the primary arms 4-14 acss glass. Shot 40 Rounds with no issues. Brass showed no signed of gas issues. All brass was ejected to the 3 o clock. Hopefully it continues to shoot like this
