Which company has the lightest weight .308 AR?  I would like to get a 18" or 20" barrel.  Would I be better off building one or buying one from a company?  
There is only one AR-10.  It's trademarked by ArmaLite. --OverBored

They are all very closely grouped by weight.

I'd suggest an ArmaLite AR-10 with the Infantry weight barrel.

Each maker is likely +/- 0.5-1.0lb from any of their other competitors.
