A carbine? An SPR-type set-up? A full length (20") system?

It seems like it combines collapsability with precision (via the cheekpiece).

True story, I think you've got it right.

To me it would be best on a weapon it could balance out in weight , as it is heavy. Excess stock weight is not liked by everyone.

Mine is going to go on a 458SOCOM, BULL profile (extra thick) 16" barreled upper with Larue 13.2 FF tube with a low power scope on top.

Anything with a heavy foreend seems to be well liked with a UBR.  It's definitely excessive for a pencil barreled KISS 14.7".  It's very nice mated with a railed upper, loaded down with a VFG, Flashlight, etc, etc.

I've seen them on 20", and SBR's - all well liked... Majority are on 16-18" units, but that also reflects the ARFCOM population who is willing to shell out that much for a stock.

If you're trying to build a rifle around the UBR - don't.  Odds are still heavily in favor of the UBR still being one of the best choices when you're done anyway.

Been thinking of puting one on my 20" Colt.  Shot my friends Noveske with a UBR and thought it felt great!!

Best UBR rig I've held was an M4 with M203, with Surefire M961.

Front heavy.

Balances pretty well on this

It would be well suited to a Recce or SPR.

Having not handled one before I notice that it is mentioned as being a tad on the heavy side, eh? I think they're very well thought out (not to mention they look cool as hell!). If indeed they offset a heavy front end pretty well then I'd wager it would balance nicely on my HK416 upper. Hmmmm.......

The UBR really works well with this setup. Balances very well with the 16" HBAR.

Well, they're not really that heavy, but they are heavier than a CTR. I just stuck one on my 18" SPR build and it's still pretty nose heavy. So, I think they're great for anything but a real lightweight build. If only they weren't so damned expensive.
