I wanted to add a brake to two of my 16 in. uppers and was deciding between the DNTC, surefire or the sabre.  I finally decided  to take a chance on the the sabre and   installed them on a BM Superlight and a LWRC M6A1. The improvement for both uppers was significant.  The muzzles hardly jump at all. Recoil is almost completely straight back. There is a small blast of air backward toward the shooter and I am sure the side blast is worse  than an A2. However my 10 yo son shooting his 10/22 next to me did not mind too much.   Previously I was not to thrilled with the BM superlight as the muzzle jumped more than I liked. With the gill brake I can double tap faster and the groups are tighter.  These brakes are expensive but work really well.

The Gill brake is not very effective, it reduced recoil but there was still some muzzle jump.  I dumped it and got one of MSTN's QC comps.
