Who makes and/or sells midlength handguards with the black anodized heatshields?

Why would you want to do that?

Dark colors, like black, absorb heat.

Light colored shiny surfaces reflect heat (thermal radiation).

Paint the outside of the shield a dark color, but leave the inside alone.

I may be wrong but these may be just like that... I bought an upper and The handguards had a different designed heat sheild than most I have seen and they were dark on the outside and I believe shiney on the inside, I could be wrong... they work just fine on this AR and I wanted to get a simialr pair for an upper that has really cheap handguards with no heat shields at all...

I was just trying to determine which manufacture makes them this way.

The two RRA middy uppers I just bought for my sons have handguards that have black heatshields.  At least on the outside of the heatshields. I haven't pulled the handguards to see if they are shiney on the inside.
