My rifle is probably going to be a 10rd fixed magger so most likely it will not be a SHTF rifle unless CA changes their laws or i can register it as a "assault weapon"

Anyways I like the tapered barrel look where the barrel is fat then goes to skinney then gets fat again.

Which uppers should I look into, i am trying to build on a budget.

LMT or RRA.  I've had both and both were great.

LMT, RRA and Colt are the ones that I've seen and used.  All were great.

I hear CMMG and BCM make fine uppers as well.  In fact, BCM will more than likely be the next M4gery I purchase.
