I'm about to start on a .458 build and was wondering which forearm would be better.  The YHM is only 1oz heavier and more than 1/2 the cost of the DD.

What do y'all think?

I say go with the DD - but I may be a little bit biased...

DD has the better locking system and proper M1913 rails.

The YHM rails has that groove going down the middle, which is an issue if you use a KAC style VFG, if that is not an issue then there is no reason not to go with the YHM.

A Badger low profile...  Not a lot of room between the barrel and the tube.  I also lost the gas block while shooting - make sure you secure it very well...

i think i'm going to go with the YHM since it provides the most clearance.  I'll probably also remove a little bit of material from the block too for just a little bit of extra clearance.
