I haven't been paying much attention to which free float handguards work with pinned flash hiders because, up until now, all of my bbls are 16".  But I'm thinking of getting a 14.5" M4 bbl.

I know the S.I.R. will work, but who else is out there.

Thanks!

It will depend on the internal diameter of the barrel nut and the OD of the muzzle device.

Troy MRF-C and KAC RASII are two other FF systems that can be installed without removing the FSB.

The GG&G Modular Forearm is another.

Vote for the Troy MRF - great unit, blows the SIR out of the water.

1) Lower Cost
2) Lower Weight.
3) Rail is even with (and continous to) the flattop (no putting your optics too high or limiting you to the ARMS#40 BUIS).
4) MRF Rails are fully in spec (ARMS are not).

Installation takes as much work as any of the SIR-M series (dremel off the delta ring and remove the spring & retention ring).

You mean the Daniels Defense 7.0?  No - that requires remove of the FSB - which in turn usually means removal of the FH.
