I'm considering trading uppers with a fellow forum member and I would be getting the 24" barrel from the 6724.  I haven't really found a lot of info on it online other than on Colt's site.  Seems like a pretty accurate barrel from what I have found.  Right now I have a 20" Bushmaster A2 that I'd be trading.  I'm more interested in distance plinking than CQB type stuff so I think this would be a good trade for myself.  Any suggestions or input from you guys?  Thanks!

It really depends on what you want the rifle to do.  You could still reach out and touch some one at 600+ yards with the 20" Bushmaster and it's chrome-lined.  To each his own

I used to have a 6724, colt delta elite a3.  It was a nice weapon and very accurate.  If you don't need a front sight and are just going to use a scope, go for it.  If you want a nice setup then spend a little for a good trigger also if you haven't done this already.

My 6724 will shoot 3 shoots inside a nickel at 200 yards with my reloads.  I would jump on that deal.
