Anyone who read my thread about a month ago may remember that I applied for a purchase permit for an "assault rifle" and was denied by the chief of police for "being to young." I am 18 though which is the legal age for obtaining the purchase permit. He told me on the phone that he was denying me because he thought I wasn't old enough to have one in his opinion. He also told me that only the military should be allowed to have assault rifles. Then for the official written denial he denied me for not using my full middle name (incomplete application, which he never mentioned in the conversation). I reapplied carefully completing everything. After talking with the mayor and threatening legal action, he finally gave me the purchase permit. Unfortunately this whole ordeal took almost 2 months even though state statutes says it should only take 7 days. Thanks for the help earlier on.
