The higher muzzle velocity of the 18 will reduce the time gravity and wind have to move the bullet in flight, but the difference will be less than a couple inches in hold over or correction at 300 yards than you're going to have to account for anyways. If you plan to go out farther at all, the difference will grow. Your max range will increase a bit as well, but 14.5 is still well past 300. It won't make your rifle more precise (assuming two fair barrels of equal quality), but it might help you to be more accurate by reducing the amount corrections needed and minimizing errors.
If you plan on humping this rifle for any kind of real distance and 300 yards is the typical distance you will be going out, the 14.5 will do the job just fine as long as you do yours behind the trigger and be hella lighter. But, you're either going to have to SBR or pin your muzzle device, the latter I'd be a little leery of doing on a precision rig just because an over or under torque FH can be adjusted, but it isn't a huge deal if it's done correctly.
