I've just hit the 3k mark in rounds on my Olympic PPFT-M4SS, and without any failures I have to say I continue to be impressed. I've shot near exclusively xm197 and xm855 through it with one 20 round box of some Hornady V-Max 55 gr, and it hasn't failed once. Got sub MOA groups this weekend with some xm855, and that's on a non free float rail using a grip-pod. For the low price point of this model, it's hard to say it wasn't worth it even with the overall poor reputation of years past Olympic models. Excited to see what it'll do with a single stage match trigger in it!

Oly Arms has been in the commercial AR business for a VERY long time.  They have always had a good reputation for very accurate barrels.  Especially the SUM series.

The only thing I've used from Oly was a .45 conversion. It worked as advertised on my FA lower.

Not to bash you or your gun, but I would hope any run-of-the-mill AR out there could at least get to 3K rounds problem free.

Really? I'm pretty sure that you meant XM 193, but at least I looked up XM 197 and learned something I didn't know, i.e. the designation of HPT rounds.
