Looking at both of these, which is the better option?

What 51t are you looking at?

I'm assuming the muzzle brake since you're comparing it to the BC.

AAC 51T Blackout

They are very different in performance.  One is a flash hider while the other is a compensator.

If you want flash reduction with the ability to mount a suppressor later on then the AAC.  If you want muzzle control but with more flash then the BC.

I use the AAC on 2 different rifles and I like it for the flash hiding abilities which it does very well.

Get the AAC 51T brake.

The brake acts as a sacrificial baffle for your suppressor, extending its life.

The brake actually reduces a lot of recoil, unlike the battlecomp.

You'll be wearing ear pro anyway if you shoot without the suppressor.

It also doesn't bring a 14.5" to 16" if that is a concern.

I have the BattleComp 2.0 and the AAC Brake, I prefer the AAC.  I get less muzzle climb with the AAC but less flash with the 2.0, both were tried on the same rifle initially.

Suppressor compatability shouldn't be an issue if he's from Kalifornia

The guy on Vuurwapen blog is calling out BC as being hyped up crap.

And he has charts and tables of data to back it up

I follow this blog and sometimes I wished I listen. I still like my BC, but others do work just as good and cost less.

I feel the same way.  I think his blog is pretty objective and enjoy his posts.

I got my BC 1.5 (pinned) several years ago.  It's not a bad device but there are certainly better options now a days (especially for the cost).

It does everything ok but nothing well.  I can tell a difference from my A2 but it's only marginally better.

If I was purchasing a device today it would not be a Battle Comp.

So damn, if I get the AAC 51t included in tmhe noveske 14.5 upper noted non-nfa it won't meet the 16" requirement for kalifornia? I live in Kali

I used a BC 1.0 for a while (got it in trade). I did not like it and have since switched to Surefire (I also use their cans).

I don't think there's a single pro 3-gunner who uses a BC or AAC.

The AAC 51t blackout would, the muzzle brake won't.

Really though since you can't get a suppressor anyways just get the AAC blackout that's not a suppressor mount.  It's half the price and will do the same thing.
