I have a Colt AR-15, purchased during the "assault weapons ban", and I was wondering if I should go ahead and install a flash hider and a few other modificatios, or just leave it as is. I don't really know how collectable these are, so I was just wondering what you guys thought. Thanks.

I wouldn't think a ban era Colt is very collectable unless there is someone out there that really wants the particular gun you have. If you really want to have the barrel threaded & install a muzzle device I say go for it.

Unless you live in a ban state no reason not to.

Send the upper off to Adco and get that bbl threaded and add a muzzle device of your choice. Absolutely no reason not to.
