makes good sence, I thought maybe it had something to do with reliabilty. Is one lower better then the other?

There's a handful of companies that forge and machine lowers for all of the companies who sell them and build rifles out of them.
Spike's lowers are $90 right now, I would jump on that if I were you. |

I thought it was too hard to do myself until I did it and found that's it's easy. Gives a feeling of accomplishment

the lowers are 50% off, or were.
$90 for the lower (regularly $180), $10 bullet picto & color fill, $5 for the laser engraving, $15 for shipping, and $20 transfer fee. SO around $135 just for one stripped lower. Then $60 armalite lpk, $45 for the MIAD (i know I could find them around $35 on the net but picked this one up so i wouldn't have to mess with Credit Card), $110 for the MilSpec buffer kit with Magpul MOE stock and ST-T2 heavy buffer from spike's. So a complete failry decent lower, IMO, with the magpul goodies for around $355. When on the Spike's website just for a complete lower with regular grip and stock, with color fill and engraving would be $290, plus $15 shipping and $20 transfer fee, around $325. And THEN plus $100 for the MIAD grip ($40) and MOE stock ($60), to make it just like mine, $425 total. I dunno this is the best, cheapest way I found to put together a spike's/magpul lower.

1. Select the FCG that you want 2. Select the receiver extension you want 3. Select the stock you want 4. Select the trigger guard you want 5. Select the Selector you want Rather than relying on: 1. Someone else's idea of a good lower 2. Lowest common denominator parts 3. Current style and fashion 4. Cheapest combination of stuff advantaging seller's bottom line, not your's |

I just completed 2 builds........bought one lower, then another, little by little bought the exact parts I wanted.........read, viewed the videos, it was easy........and when I was done, it felt good that I built them! Now I wanna build more!

I'm so excited to be colletcting parts for my first build... I as well bought two stripped spikes lowers.. Spent a little extra money on a LPK kit from Bill Springfield with 4lbs trigger... Bought a new/used cmmg 10.3 upper. Will be building it as a pistol for now until the I get a tax stamp..

You can build the gun the way YOU want, with the stuff you want. Usually in a couple hours. Both of my AR's are very unique. The only way anyone can get AR's like mine is to build them. No cookie-cutter AR's here. |

Get a good trigger instead of a lower parts set. A Rockriver or Bushmaster 2 stage ajustable for a little over $100 will make you smile.
