Weird, they are listed as 223 on the website. I would assume the accurized rifle is 223

I think by now we know that the chamber information provided by the manufacturer has little to do with reality.  And yes it is a 5.56 chamber, or you could say the rifle is a "match rifle" with a "machine gun chamber".  Given the chamber choice and the 1/9 twist and you have a real odd ball.

I couldn't find on either Colt site a 20" government profile rifle-ie an M16ish rifle. They don't offer that anymore? I have one of the older ones with a fixed carry handle and it's a great rifle.

the only 20'' berreled rifles are the MT6601 and the MT6700. both have a Heavy profile barrel.

Doesn't the colt "accurized" have a different trigger also?

Yes, the CR6724 (which BTW "OP" is what I paid for mine and dad's when purchased 4-5 years ago) Colt Accurized Rifle comes with a "called" match trigger. Ain't than much better than the standard Colt trigger IMO.

YMMV, but that was the first thing I replaced. (w/ a Jewell 2-stage)

eta - forgot to mention that the CR6724 has a 5.56mm chamber in it as I have fired both Lake City and Win M193 thru it with no problems.

Had a HBar Colt, and had it turned to Gummint Profile by ADCO.
The HBar is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too muzzle heavy.
BTW, you'll find the barrel is marked '5.56'; believe that.

Greetings,

I just passed up a Colt h-bar match competition with compensator.  The guy was asking $1,100.00.  That was supposed to be the out the door price.  When I went in to pay for it he tried adding $80.00 for tax.  He wouldn't compromise and I got p _ _ _ _d and walked out.  I was more upset because he gave me a couple of different prices on the same gun and I caught him in a couple of lies.  Bottom line, I could have gotten it for $1,180.00 which is probably an average price.  I tired looking around at other sources but none are available.  Gun Broker had several on auction but they were/are several hundred dollars more.

Now I am going to get a Bushmaster.

Totally not true. They have 9mm and 7.62x39mm, not to mention .222.

Just being cute.
