i am looking at a few places but what are the best places to buy a kit. is it easier to just buy an upper and a lower and not deal with building or is it worth the money saved?

Del-Ton Inc

Model 1 Sales

Or you can just buy a complete upper and lower from the manufacturer of your choice and slap them together

Between myself and my father in law, we just ordered 3 kits from Del-Ton. They have AWESOME customer service. All of my e-mails were answered promptly, products were very nice. I would definatly reccomend them.

Here's a pic of their 16" flat-top kit assembled on my Bushy lower...

Are the white spots just gun oil?

That's what I would be willing to bet.

I guess Del-Ton has improved then.

They used to have a pretty bad reputation. Glad to see the turnaround.

Yup......crazy thing too, the Del-ton had a tighter fit with the lower than the original factory one did. Came out nice, color match was good too, just hard to tell from the pic.

my buddy and I just put our fist ar's together from kits from del-ton.  They had some stuff on back order, but it was out with in a week of purchase.  Seems like everything is good quality.  My buddy's lower parts kit came without the bolt catch, but he emailed them monday and they had the part shipped out on monday so good customer service.  I'd say there were a good company to deal with and prices seem reasonable
