Hello folks,

I have owned a couple ARs briefly but didnt get a chance to become completely familiar with the weapons.

I have decided to build my own AR in order to become familiar with the weapon and comfigure it to my liking. I would like to get some help from some experienced builders on this venture.  I need some advice as to where to buy parts, a complete list of components I need, and other advice that will make my build a pleasent experience.

My first question would be, which parts must be shipped to an FFL?  I know I can get all of the upper parts shipped directly to my door.  Is it just the bare lower reciever that needs to go to a dealer?

So far I have settled on a DPMS tuber free float tube, a 16" chrome lined barrel, and a skeleton stock.

thanks for any advice provided.

Feel free to email me or post in this thread.  I really appreciate the help.

Stripped lower is the only thing thats FFL required. Every other part is to your door.
