is DPMS dead? I never see them advertised here and no one speaks a word about them, I found a good deal on DPMS M4gery upper with B,C and am wondering if its worth $399.99 new

Here is something about DPMS, I have had a barrel on order from them since early November and still no barrel. I am so jacked up about it, that I am thinking about selling my  two DPMS rifles and buy a Armlite, Bushy, Colt, RAA or some sort.

Then they need to tell their customers that there will be a long wait. If it were that hard to come by recievers then I guess I can understand, but with so many quality brands out they're that you can buy in a week or less (ordered, or bought in a store, my gunshop has a bushy lower for I think 400.00) there's no point in waiting. I wouldn't even consider waiting over 2 months for any DPMS stuff, hot when I can have Bushmaster, RRA, Armalite now.

I'm still way down the learning curve about ar's, but I've put over 3k rounds through my dpms in 2 years and I can't remember one failure to fire.  I even shoot a lot of Wolf ammo which some say leads to malfunctions.  I really like mine.

Not saying they are bad, but I wouldn't wait two months to get one when I can have a Bushmaster, RRA, or Armalite today.

I have a DPMS that I put about 6000 rounds through last year with no hicups. I have a RAA that I put about 2000 rounds through, no hiccups, the same with a Colt and about 600 rounds through a Bushie. Not saying the Rifle isn't fine , but the customer service is lacking. I am not trying to get a rifle or a upper, just a freakin barrel. Boo freakin hoo.

The barrel would be one of the toughest things to get your mits on due to the war.... they use the same barrels on their guns that go to shoot real bad guys as the ones they ship to all the people who sit around waiting for zombies to attack.  Take a number, they'll get to you when they can, or go buy either an aftermarket barrel, a used barrel, or something else.  I'd be willing to bet any manufacturer with a USGI contract will tell you the same thing: it'll get there when it gets there.

They're always at the Minnnesota Weapons Collector Gun Shows. So is that other MN AR15 maker. What's its name? Honestly, I never stop to look.
