I have a Eagle Arms complete lower receiver assy. It is marked Eagle Arms Incorporated  Coal Valley,IL  5.56MM  EA15  SER 197XX. Is this a pre 1994/preban receiver or post ban?

Wrong forum, but all EA lowers are preban.

Raptor22, you're correct, I read this as Essential Arms.  Eagle Arms can be preban but you have to call armalite and ask.

A typical Factory Assembled Pre-Ban Eagle Arms Lower will have the eagle stamped in white on the front of the mag well...I had a pre-ban lower in the 17,000 serial number range....the only way to be sure is to contact Armalite.

Most of the Coal Valley marked receivers are preban.

Essential Arms lowers are marked J-15 or J-15-2.
