Here is my question that goes along with these pictures, i just purchased this brand new LMT upper, from a company that is on the industry board, i recieved this upper today, keep in mind the product is new, when i opened the box and viewed the upper, as in the pictures i am showing this is what i saw, swirls and brown markings on the inside, rails look like they have been chipped, carry handle has scuff mark, the threading for the barrell looks like it is has had a barrell put on it. I will be sending this back to the company, but i figured i would ask for some opinions possibly from someone who owns this exact upper

Looks like a used LMT upper.

I am not sure if the discoloration or the drips on the inside are normal if that is your question.

I like this game....

Post some pics and guess what is wrong, I feel like I am at the diner with those "whats wrong with the picture" place mats

The inside "swirls" look fine. It's the baked on dry lube.

Other than that, it looks like you got a used upper, or at least an upper that started off as a complete upper, but was disassembled into an upper and barrel status.

That's the only thing that comes to mind.

The only thing wrong I can see it that it isn't smoking hot.....

It not a "used" upper because the dry film is still intact on the inside of the upper---that's what those swirl marks are.

However, that receiver probably started off as a complete upper and was disassembled at some point.

Build it up and shoot it.

It looks like it was dissasembles from a new upper.  Was it described as new, or a take-off?  I think that if you paid for new, and was told it was new, you should've gotten a new one.  Is it worth the hassle of sending it back?

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it since a new one will look like that when you assemble it.

LMT completed uppers ARE tested fired before they end up in consumer's hands.

My own LMT upper looks exactly the same. I noticed there was evidence of use of a carry handle on my new LMT upper.

the cloudy markings on the first picture appear to be cleaning product residue. like those spray on gun scrubs. charging handle has been mounted on that upper and has been used multiple times in order for the rub marks to appear where the handle latch locks into the upper.

My guess is it's used.

It probably won't do for a safe queen.  Better send it back and ask for a new one shipped in a velvet lined jewelry box.

That matress is just plain nasty!!!

I don't think you guys noticed my first post, so just to re-iterate, it's clearly stated on many vendor's websites, that the LMT upper is testfired at the factory before it is shipped...

Mine had your same "issues" but came in a plastic bag, with lots of grease, and a "Upper half assembly" inspection tag.

Apparently, "Rya" checked for
-Gas Tube Straightness
-Ejection Port Function
-Foward Assist Ass'y function
-Compensator Fit/Function
-Front Sling Swivel Fit/Function
-TEST FIRE
-Workmanship.

Your LMT upper is fine!

probably because you are talking about a complete upper and not a stripped as pictured in the first post.

this was also said in the first post

the threading for the barrell looks like it is has had a barrell put on it.
