I had a can of OD Krylon sitting around from a Jeep project I did last week.
I've been getting kind of bored with my all black BM M4gery, so I decided to paint some furniture.  It's a baby step, but i'm a chicken!  I'm thinking of heading to Wally World later to pick up some Dark Brown, Tan and Medium Brown. I have a mesh laundry bag and i've seen some cool camo jobs come from using the bag. My TDVG is next, I think.  HS1 |

I'm doing the small stuff now while she's still running. I used the Krylon to paint my Battery tray. Planning on dual Optimas. Next week i'll have possesion of a 258 4.2L Block that'll get bored .60 over and a 4.0L head. I'm not sure who's valve-train components, cam, pistons etc. i'll be using, but i'm wanting 250 RWHP for my mud rig. Weber carb or Chevy TBI hasn't been decided either. I'll start a thread in GD when it's all done complete with a filthy mud picture review.  HS1 |

That's awesome! I saw an AK like that some time ago, wanted to do that to mine... but never did.
How does that Krylon stand up to every day handling? |

I painted my 10/22 and my paintball gun with camo...I think it turned out nice. Very durable...cleaned the 10/22 with CLP and everything..nothing came off. Here's a pic of the Spyder paintball gun...I may paint an AR soon in the same pattern

Ok, I hate to ask this, but what good is the poka-dot pattern? Wouldn't it be better from a camo perspective to just pain it without all that contrast? Or is this just to look badass?

That is very nice, some tan rail covers would probably help even more, but that is still a great looking piece.

I've gone without panels, and have taken a chunk out of things while doing clearing, so I make it a point to keep at least the ladder panels on.

  Three coats and getting darker. Gotta get some Medium Brown. The USGI Labelle Teflon mag got shot with one coat. Strange contrast to the deep OD elsewhere. Baby steps. HS1 |

Seems to me I've seen a picture around here with laundry bag/snake skin pattern with the rifle laying in the grass. It really disappeared. The snake skin really softened the lines of the rifle and helped wash out it's lines and shadows. |
