I've got a chance to buy a AR15 from a friend of a friend of..

From what info I've gathered before seeing it, it is a post-ban Colt HBAR, A2 upper, A2 buttstock, and a 20" heavy barrel (no threads, flashhider).  Also, it has the triangular handguards.

I'm at work so I don't have the chance to research the EE before going over tonight, can you guys help me out with an approximate market price?

TIA

Triangular handguards????  WTF, over.

Where's the original handguards?

Sounds like a post-ban parts dump.

$600 max.

Thanks, that's a great idea to verify all parts.

This gentleman sold one of his other rifles to my friend, and it was a 16" Colt HBAR (I was happy to handle that, because it confirmed I don't want a 16" HBAR). The upper had the "C" and broken "A" marks.  The barrel was stamped "C  MP 5.56 NATO 1/9"  IIRC.

I have yet to inspect the 20" rifle, though.  We needed to reschedule.
