Well here goes guys. This is the official nomination thread for the inaugeral month or AR15 of the month. Please post the user name, pic (nothing huge) and if possible specs of the rifle you are nominating. You can nominate your own rifle or someone elses as long as they dont object. You can also go back and change your nomination if you wish within the 4 day nomination period which will end at 12am on the 5th. Only one nomination per member. I will then tally the nominies and give the final four in a new thread. Here are the rules:
1)No dealers
2)You can only win once in a 3 month period or 3 times a year
3)You can nominate anyones rifle not only your own (unless the owner asks you not to)
4)Once a rifle is nominated to the final four it is forever inelligible even with more mods or reconfiguration
5)Only AR15's are elligible. Semi or full auto but nothing owned by Uncle Sam or a gun company
6)The nomination period will be open for 4 days and after the 4 days I will close the nominations and tally the top 4 vote getters
7)The voting thread will be started on the 5th and run for another 4 days. It will consist of a poll with the 4 top vote getters from the nomination stage
8)On the 9th I will announce the winner and he or she will carry with them all the pride of owning Ar15.com's finest rifle for the month of September
9)no photoshop
Let the fun begin. Thanks everyone

Thanks for the vote but please list the user name of the owner. I realize it was right after my post but it will make it much easier when I am trying to tally the nominations and hopefully have MANY more nominations. I am trying to get this thread stickied as we speak. Hopefully the mods will think it's worthy.

I have to nominate Feral's carbon fiber barrel build. I love Dissy's, and the carbon fiber barrel really makes it stand out. It's definately something you don't see every day.

Is it picture, or pictures?

It seems like spamming the board with loads of pics would be a quick way to have people ignore your entire post, or worse yet, to have people judge your entire submissions as a whole.

Its certainly no way to win a trunk monkey.....

Well this certainly isn't tuning out as I had hoped. Here we are after the first day of nominations with only 6 serious nominies. One guy posted a dealer gun. one guy posted H&K's gun and one guy posted like 6 different rifles. Over 135 of you guys thought this would be a good idea so I am trying it out and now it seems nobody wants it. Please give me some serious nominations or I'm just gonna have it locked down.

Oh and thank you to Donovan, V-Rod, Quib, Blanco Diablo and Olds442tyguy for your serious nominations.

Maybe some rules should be added.

-Only one nomination per member.
-No posts unless voting/nominating is involved.
-Only privately owned firearms may be entered.
-If you post someone elses firearm, you must give them due credit of ownership.
-If that person objects, their firearm will be removed from the entry list.

I hope this picks up as I think it's a very cool idea.

I already have posted all those rules in the first post other than the one about no posts other than nominations. That is a good one although it looks like it really wont matter at this point. I edited the first post to make the rules a bit clearer.

I was going to congratulate Wolverine_Tradition on managing to teach his rifle to climb the wall, but then I saw Yojombo's rifle and choked on my drink...

Blanco- I give up on you man:  "Is nominating our own and someone else's rifle allowed?"  Do you mean you want to nominate two rifles altogether?  YellowV doesn't want anyone nominating more than one rifle.

BTW- since you don't want us nominating H&K or Bushmaster rifles, can we nominate a factory RRA rifle?

I will nominate my KAC Stoner M4. Nothing too special, just sorta rare and named after none other than Mr. Stoner himself.

-KAC Stoner Match M4. Eo 552.F. Magpul Grip and Stock. KAC Flip Up. SOC Singlepoint.

-Colt 6731 Match Target Rifle. Eo 551.F. Surefire Modular Rail System. Suregrip. VLTOR Stock. Yankee Hill Flip Up. Wilderness Single Point.

I need to get a recent pic up, I have added Surefire M919AB's to both.

Sorry for the giant bad pic

I nominate this rifle. Its nothing fancy but its the rifle that is keeping my buddy and many others like him alive and well and hopefully going to bring him home safe. I dont know if its not allowed by the rules to nominate this rifle, nothing fancy, just one rifle, one soldier, and one nation. Thanks to all the rifles like it!

We all appreciate the men and women in the armed forces more than we can say as well as the weapons they use but like the rules say nothing owned by Uncle Sam.

nothing owned by uncle sam and it's also not fair to play on our emotions...

I'm voting for Smithy's because I'm glad he jumped on the skulls when I was hesitant to commit...
