maybe a stupid question, but does anybody know if ammo of any kind will cook off if left in the car in 110+ degree temp outside(maybe 140+ in car)?

only one way to find out, leave a lot of ammo in the car.......at the end of the day, if your car doesn't have any ventilation holes in it, you know that it won't.

We've got ammo sitting out exposed to 120+ here in Iraq.  Lots of belted ammo up in machine guns that pull guard/convoy duty.  Haven't had any cook offs.  Now, you have to wear gloves when handling all that hot hardware.

Put it in your trunk of your car or take it in with ya at work in a duffle bag.

If it did the ME would be one giant mushroom cloud.
