Second, I hope you have your jogging shoes on.. Because you are gonn need to RUN not walk away from anything Vulcan.. Pure junk, piss poor service, and in my opinion, UNSAFE..

Most people suggest to stick with the ABCR'S or Armalite, Bushmaster, Colt and Rock River Arms.

Note that rifles built on a stripped receiver from parts of varied sources can range from excellent to abysmal depending on who built it and what parts were used. Beware parts guns built on big name receivers being pushed as the real McCoy.

Unfortunately, the AR15 is so modular and so widely cloned that authenticity of used and to a lesser extent new rifles can be hard to determine unless you are familiar with markings and characteristics. Of course the modularity and wide availability of parts and accessories is also what makes them so appealing and addictive.

For your first rifle, so as not to get screwed, you are best off to get a new factory complete rifle with warranty.

Just my 0.02 cents.

I'm pretty sure very few people here have actually owned a vulcan, nor have I. I dont know if vulcan sucks, but 99% of people say they suck so...

I recall the thread, or the pics at least, but that doesnt change the fact the almost no one has ever actually seen a Vulcan before. Yeah they suck, no one is saying they dont, doesnt change the fact that people are still repeating 2nd hand info. In this case it's just, but plenty of good products get bashed because of 2nd hand info that people latch on to, but dont really know what they are saying...

True, I have never fired a Vulcan Rifle, but I have laid hands on a Vulcan V-15 at a gun show at Dallas Market Hall Last year. I was not impressed. The material it was made of reminded me of the cheap bread racks you see at the back of grocery stores, not the shiny hard plastic kind, but the matte fibrous cheesy looking kind. I was not impressed with it at all. It was being sold by an individual, and was he was ditching the whole rifle for $400. I saw him just before I left, two hours later, and he hadn't sold it yet. The thing was obviously garbage, I would go to the range with an Airsoft rifle before I'd shoot a Vulcan, and there are few things I disdain more than Airsoft. Vulcan Arms products is one of them.

But then again I am Old school and prefer aluminum and steel where it counts. Just my take, your results may vary.

I sincerely think your money will be better spent elsewhere.  Notice StagArms up there in the 'v'good' category - well, no one made this guy the pope but for nearly the same $ I think you'd be happier...

actually i wasn't even considering the carbon crap i was looking at a forged model upper and lower not a fan of the carbon but thanks for all the input i'll keep looking around and considering my options
