I have had a Bushmaster on order for two weeks.  Does anyone know when they will start shipping the new ARs out.  I called twice, one call the guy said were out of barrels, the next week another guy said we just shipped out a large order.  So were are they?

A local dealer just called Bushmaster for me while I was on hold to check on the availability of a AR. Bushmaster told her that they had no idea when the rifles would ship out b/c they were swamped w/ orders.

Just so I'm understanding this correctly, dealers have NOT recieved any of the  new "no ban" Bushmaster rifles?

It's amazing how fast these ARs are being sold at the local gun shops.  When I bought my Colt and BM, 2 days after the ban went out (but I pre-ordered), there were atleast 5-6 ARs there.  That same weekend, 3 days later, all of them were GONE.  Now they have like 1-2 in stock all the time (but in pre-ban configuration) - Must be old inventory.

According to the clerk that phoned in my order they have 6 million dollars in orders backed up.  Sounds like a high estimate to me but considering the post-awb rush who knows.  Same guy tried to order some no-bans for law enforcement and was told they wouldn't ship any sooner than a month and a half at the very least.

I spoke with AimSurplus.Com earlier today and I was informed that they have NOT received any shipments on orders for Post-Bans from Bushmaster .

I ordered two no-ban barrels from Bushy on Sept. 17.

I received my 'Gov't. Profile' M-16 20" no-ban a week later.

I've not heard a word about the M4 barrel I ordered at the same time.

BTW the Phantom flash suppressor I ordered was shipped yesterday.

A little off topic.
I ordered a no-ban complete 20" upper two weeks before the ban ended. I ordered it on a friday, it was here in five UPS shipping days.

Gee....

Sounds like the sunset of the AWB has had a very postive effect on the economy.

Of course the dems will find some way of turning that around into a bad thing.

Just got my M4 barrel that I ordered 2 days before the AWB expired (I needed one anyways to replace a Colt barrel, on a preban gun). Just got it Thursday. I forgot to get a A2 flash-hider with it, and when I called to add one to the backordered barrel, the guy said they were out, and it might be a few weeks more... <sigh>

I just put the old Colt FH on the Bushmaster barrel for now, but you know, it doesn't look right, color being different and all.

So you replaced a better barrel (Colt) with a BM? Oh I get it. You wanted an M4 profile. Ummm ok.

You are wanting an A2 FH?  Why don't you get a phantom off the EE here right now? Better than an A2, and no wait.

NO, he wanted to replace a shot out barrel with a new one!

Yes, he wanted an A2 FH, just like he said.

If everyone thought or liked the exact same things......this world would be boring.

BTW, when he wants to get married.......he probably will not look at your blood line.  Since, yours has already been classified as anal and dorky.

Just a Colt Propogandist.hPerfect for the lighter 193 round. Does Colt make a 1:9 twist barrel for the lighter/cheaper
ammo???? I think not.
BTW from what I've heard, it also has better terminal effect than the same bullet out of
a 1:7 twist barrel??????

Well, what-cha know....there are reasons for a BM barrel. Enjoy.

The Colt turned out to not be chrome lined, and I wanted a chromelined. The Colt is an 16" M4, made in '98, apparently a turned down 16" HBAR or some such; it was a swapout. I'll be selling the Colt in the not too distant future. It's not shot out, but has maybe 2500-3000 rds fired.

I ordered a pre-ban 24" NM Heavy-Barrel Bushmaster barrel assembly (everything forward of receiver) and it shipped the same day. It includes the A2 birdcage flash hider already installed. I just have to torque down the barrel nut and install the gas tube + hand guards.

I got fuc*ed over the first time I went to buy a rifle a few months ago. It was a VEPR K, I really wanted the 20" VEPR II but no one had any in stock so I settled on a VEPR K. This time I decided to build my rifle from in-stock components so I could get it the way I want it, when I want it sort of like Little Caesars.

The Bushmaster is 4150 Chrome-Moly (military grade steel) with chrome lined bore and chamber with a .980" thick barrel under the hand guards, and tapers down to 0.75"? near the flash hider. I decided to go Pre-Ban because I could (evil bayonet lug and evil flash hider) and I can always swap out the flash hider for something else in the future.

I purchased a BM M4 A3 at my local dealer. There was a waiting list for a shipment of rifles which I ordered on the 17 Sept. I received my rifle a week later. The rifle was marked LEO/Gov Use Only with a A2 FH.

I think people are buying them NOW, 'cause they might not be able to get them LATER...

(i.e.  another, possibly much worse, ban in the not-so-distant future...)

Maybe a bunch of folks learned their lesson from the just-ended AWB.

I know i was at a Cabelas last week and they had quite a few of the no ban bushmasters.. Now it's highly possible that a store like that ordered a bunch of them upfront but I just wanted to point that out.

havent seen any A3's yet, but A2's are popping up. I've seen three M4s, two 16" HBARs and a 20" HBAR, all in A2 though.

Same here, A2's but no A3's.

I was in my gunshop today and was giving him a hard time about all the empty space on the wall.  He said that Bushmaster just shipped a huge number of orders and he expects to have his inventory back up to speed by the end of the week.

I was hunting down a *LE/Military only* mag for my P228 at the gunshop the other day and a guy came in and picked up a no-ban Bushmaster that had just come in.  Was an A3 with collapsible stock and the other evil features. Had M4 profile barrel and one of the longer flash suppressors to bring it to 16" legal.  Was neat to see a brand spankin' new 30rd mag in the case... Mine came with a 'lil dinky 10 a few years ago.  LoL
