A local dealer has a new (month or so old) Beta with the LE markings for sale--for the same price as an incoming post 9/13/04 model.  Is this something I should jump on, or is it not that big of a deal?  I'm assuming the only difference between the two would be the backplate, and he said he'd swap them for me when the new ones come in because people want the LE plate.  I guess the question is, if the two were sitting side-by-side on the shelf, which would you pick?  Thanks much.

If you're looking for resale valaue get the LEO marked Beta.  That LEO will bring more among collectors and cop queers.  People will pay more for it because they couldn't get it before and it's no longer being made.

i'd go just the opposite to avoid the possibility of some ignorant jbt tossing me in jail.  why put yourself in a position of (very slight) risk if you don't have to?

I think it will still be made to satisfy the states that have their own AWB that mirrors the Federal text.
