I doubt that, but what you are seeing is a euphoria over the Colt 6920 and the end of the ban.

Prices of $1,200 or $1,300 actually isn't too bad, given the fact that the same rifle- in a civilian format-(Not LEO)  three months ago was between $2,000 and $3,000.

Now if you are prepared to wait a bit- say 2-4 months, I am sure all the manufacturers will have their offerings ready and market pricing will take over- that is inventories will out weigh demand, and the price will come down to near normal pricing of say $750-1,000 -In my opinion

So, get it now and pay the price, or wait and save the jack

$849.99? That is only around $1114 CDN.

Man did I ever get ripped at $1895 CDN + taxes for my 6920. Ridiculous prices here.

Knowing that this was coming some months back, I sold my Bushmaster to another officer for a good price and found a 6920 at Jerry's Sports Center in Forest City, PA, for $850 plus $25 shipping and handling and scooped it up figuring that people would be price gouging after the Sunset.  I also figured that Colt wouldn't be too quick to get these on the market for "civilians".  (LEOs are civilians too, only military personnel aren't "civilians".)

Best part is, my dad's my FFL and he doesn't charge me anything, except tax, and even delivers 70 miles away.

Many dealers are selling to the general public at the LE price, what you are seeing is a regular price tag.  Shop around and see where you can get a dealer who doesn't care.
