I always assumed they were the exact same round. Are they?  Can I shoot both in my RRA? Thanks for clearing this up for me.

Acctually I already shoot both in the gun I think. When I bought it the shop told me 5.56/223 were the same thing and sold me a case of each. The gun funtioned fine with both.

you can safely shoot 223 in a 556 chamber but not the otherway around.....look here

Yes.  Fire away my son.  Wylde chambers are a hybrid .223 match and 5.56 chambers.  Have fun.
