I am new to AR-15.  I went to clean my weapon this weekend.  I separated the top and cleaned from the breech.  I put the upper in a vise that has rubber caps on the jaw and it worked but the handguard flexed quite a bit.  Is there something or some device or some jig to hold the upper for cleaning?

It's called your hand - and it works!

I made a cradle for rifle cleaning out of some scrap wood. It is just two "u" shaped cutouts standing up vertically on a wood base. I covered the cutouts with some plastic to keep the guns from sliding around in the cradle. Basically it holds the rifle with the muzzle sloped down. Pretty simple, works pretty good and it was free!
Sorry, I don't have any pics.
