[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Colt M4 FSB?

Hope someone can help me with my curiosity. Its a fact that Colt uses a higher (proprietary) FSB on the M4A1 to compensate for the increased height of the rear sight on a detachable carry handle. But what about for Colt M4's with standard A2 uppers? Do they use the standard FSB's for these?

Yes, on the A2M4s they used the standard FSBs. I can verify this because I had an A1 M4 and an A2 M4 upper.

Colt flat tops will still have the 'F' marked front sight base.

FN M16A4 also have the "F" FSB, as does the Colt M16A4

We have them if you need them.
