The best answer is to get the Tango Down VFG, as it has a slot for the Surefire tape switch. The other common way is to use a piece of a bicycle innertube, also sold as "Ranger Bands".

I bought some velcro by the roll at Wal-Mart. It has sticky on one side and velcro on the other. It is cheap enough that when it gets old, it's easily replaced. It sticks really well and I haven't worn out the first piece I put on my shotty.

If you have a verticle grip forget the velcro, use a peice of cut bike tube. Roll it over the grip and the pressure switch like a Trojan! No joke, its the crap.

I too use Velcro. I have one rough piece on the pressure switch, one soft piece on my vertical grip, and one soft piece in the forearm between the rails so that I can have the switch on the grip when I want to use it, but when I'm at the range I just put it on the side of the forearm and it's tucked nicely out of the way.

I secured mine in a work bench drawer after I replaced them all with click-switches.

I didn't like my tape switch until I played around with the placement a little. I found that if I place the switch toward the back of the grip in the 5 o'clock position it works much better. Now I love it. It is quicker and much easier to turn on and off without changing my grip.

They can be secured but not fool proofed for acidental activation. In other words, they "suck".
A piece of bicycle inner tube could help. |
