I have a BUSHMASTER A3M4 and want to replace the stock with an ACE the problem I'm having
is which one to buy I have narrowed my decision down to the ultralight or the SOCOM but
my gun is front heavy and putting a ultralight on it will add to that problem, and the SOCOM will
add weight to my overly accessorized heavy gun. What would you do and why?

any info would be great
THANKS

Buy the cheapest stock you can and upgrade to a collapsible after September 14.

I have had the ACE ultrlight stock and I think it is the best out there.  Simple, strong and lightweight.

I gots the Socom M4. Yes, it is a very nice stock. It does add some weight to the rear where it will balance it out a bit. If your weapon is front heavy, and that bothers you, then I would go with the Socom. But, I will be going with a Ultralight for one with a light weight barrel in the near future. Those Ultralights sure do look cool!

You do unerstand you can't just put an Ace M4 SOCOM on... it's a collapsible and therefore is held to the AWB.

I have both.  The ultralight is cool and the entry ultralight is even lighter.  The SOCOM is for a different application.  It's prolly one of the heaviest collapsibles out there, but it is also very cool. The SOCOM has what is best described as a meat tenderizer on it.  You could do some serious clubbing with it.  The collapsible button is a bit tricky to work untill you get it broken in.
