hi i am new and hope this is the correct place to post my question. i bought a preban pwa made in mallin il. question are they good ar's the only thing that i found is that mine is a pre because the SS# is below35000. it is not a carbine it has a1 type sights. any info on what it is worth and if they are any good thanks ~R

Excellent upper and lower receivers.  Full civilan "MIL-SPEC" quality.  You can't go wrong with them.

I have three and love them. I have seen PWA uppers and lowers with no name barrels on them that sucked. Once the barrels were changed out with a proper barrel every thing ran great. PWA black lowers match up to Bushmaster and DPMS uppers very well in my experiance. The Colt black does not match as well. It has a different sheen.
