Me too, then I see the price tag, and remember why I don't own one. However, I do plan on buying a new SR-25 in the next few months.

YOU HAVE ALWAYS SHOWN REMARKABLE TASTE LUMPY.  I HAVE HAD THE SAME DREAM AND IN THAT DREAM I'M DRIVING A DUECE AND A HALF FILLED WITH .308 AMMO.

It's a pretty good design.  My only real gripe with the SR25k is with the stock.  The collapsible tube stock seems a bit flimsy to me, and the butt doesn't distribute recoil all that well to the shooter's shoulder (i.e., it hurts to shoot it).  A fixed "A1" type stock might serve the user better.

Even if KMC ever manufactures the "k" configuration for commercial sales in the future, there can never be any more of the "1 of 100" series.  Those 100 rifles are true collectibles!

I agree about the gun, have longed for one for many moons.

I am a bit concerned about the taste thing though. You been using that CLP for some things other than whats listed on the label??

How much does a preban run??

The person i know got two of those SR25k so they can shoot the Mk11 legally with suppressor since the SR25k is a pre-ban.  I believe the package for two SR25k was 5000 each plus the price of the two MK11s.

Lumpy; Have you tried it for distance yet? I have a light/short barelled pre-ban (by six days) with the A-2 stock that will hold 2.5" @ 500 yards until it heats up after 10 rounds or so.
If you want to throw some glass on it and try, I think I have a spare set of 30MM Knight rings laying around you can borrow. A good place to start would be the 500 yd prone matches they have every month @ Rio Salado and South Mountain.

That's one nice looking rifle! But if I'm going to spend more then 6K on a rifle, then I'll go all the way (8-12k) and get a class3 towards the purchase of a MP5.
