I already commented on the Colt part, my question was in regards to why people rate the AR15A3 so highly, not Colt in general.

Do you mean highly rated or highly priced? [;)]
I don't believe it would rate any higher than say a similar Bushmaster but because there are so few of them it makes them more desirable and commands a higher price. |

I would have to assume that it would only mean something to a Colt collector. Otherwise, it's just another AR. Not that I wouldn't want one, but I want an AR in every conceivable make, model, and configuration.

Colt = substandard and overpriced but the Pony logo is cool.
