I was looking at the Equipment Exchange section to price out my Colt, and I came across a couple of guys mentioning that their preban Colt lowers were of the "rare" variety. They appeared similar to mine so I thought I would ask the question.
My colt is a ST 003XXX serial number and is marked Sporter Target Model. Is has the large hole in front and does NOT have a sear block. I haven't a clue how to tell if it has large or milspec trigger pin sizes. It does have a raised fence. Original configuration was a Government A2 rifle.
Could you please tell me what this lower is worth? I might be selling my entire M4 rig to fund a tactical rifle project. It has the aforementioned lower with new M4 collapsable stock, Samco pistol grip, Colt M4 (16" plus flash, 1x7) upper with carry handle, Aimpoint Comp ML2 scope with Leupold base in the carry handle. It also has the reliability job done by Ken Elmore of SAW. Comes with all Colt parts except that the bolt carrier is milspec made legal...or LE configuration (covers the firing pin for the most part). Condition is like new with only 50 rounds through the upper.
I can guess on the upper price, but the lower price is a mystery to me.
thanks
