I am building a 300BLK pistol with the following:
Barrel length: 8.5"
Twist rate: 1:7
I would like to mount the AAC 762SD using the flash hider mount.
I have read that shooting 300BLK subsonic (approx 200 grain or greater) increases the risk of a baffle strike if the bullet is too long resulting in not enough 'twist' so when the bullet exists the barrel it still has some wobble.
What say AAC or the hive on running subsonic in this set-up. Will I get enough twist on a 1:7 from a 8.5" barrel for bullets traveling less than 1050fps?
Thanks in advance
