I have gotten one box previously like that before, and was told it was an automated box sorting machine that had cut it open. Mine was more crushed though. All in All, I love UPS thought, same guy every time - and they ship guns and ammo without question for me, and actually deliver when stuff arrives. Fedex on the other hand - After several extremely unpleasant experiences trying to ship ammunition and C&R rifles, and being told it was against the law, or we can't do that, and phone calls to upper management confirming they could only to have some shipping clerk come back and say I would have to speak to the manager the next day (that's just 1 incident), I will never use Fedex again. I don't care if I pay $5 more per box to ship UPS, I will not use Fedex. Fedex also will let a package sit in their depot until the actual date of estimated delivery rather than sending it out early. UPS will send it to your door the day it hits your local depot. If it arrives 4 days early at the Fedex depot, it sits for 4 days until delivery - this has happened to me on numerous occasions. I guess different areas of the country may have different experiences with the different shipping companies. Maybe it boils down to your local depot.
